2021-04-02

- Swimming will no longer take you moves if you were ridding and failed to
enter the room that required you to swim
- Skinning will not work if you're riding something.
- All forms of speech will now pass through drunk speech/wolfbrother
transition speech without causing a crash anymore.
- The weave 'Sleep' will now show the victim a message _as_ they fall asleep.
- Paymaster Cyril is now a banker.

2021-03-30

- NPCs will now move to the appropriate position when they wield a weapon.
- Replying to an imm that has turned invisible will respond with no person.
- Charge, bash, backstab, etc, will not crash the MUD anymore due to fleeing
when retaliated upon by an NPC's assistants.
- Circles (linking) now properly calculate gender limits and leadership limits
based on whether the players channel Saidin or Saidar. See help circles.
- Clan ledgers will show the last 15 lines of log by default, or the entire
log if you type view 0-
- Moonlight is now correctly calculated when considering if characters can see
each other. A full moon is slightly brighter than a lantern outdoors.

2021-03-29

- Commands have been updated so that they will now cancel bash/backstab/etc
appropriately, as well as allow you to perform some commands regardless of
fear, and allow more commands to be used while hidden.

2021-03-24
- Charge has been changed
* It is now timer based, instead of instant
* It will require the use of lance to work (previously everything worked)
* It takes moves from your mount when it executes
* It can be used in combat, unlike before
* No lag!
- Dodge and Parry get reduced appropriately when riding a horse
* Mastery in riding decreases the penalty by a hefty amount


2021-03-23

- Crash fixed - you can now drunkenly emote things without crashing the MUD!

2021-03-20

- Crash fixed - multiple bladeforms against a character that dies mid-
execution will not crash us anymore.

2021-03-18

- Bladeform damages on the lower end have been increased to have more
feel of progession from the first day onwards.
- This means that circle 1-5 damages have increased, mostly by 5 each
-- With the exception of Unfolding the Fan. It has increased bit a lot.
- The bladeform "Folding The Fan" and "Unfolding the Fan" can be comboed
- Some bladeform counters have been changed (I don't know how anyone can
actually block a form by straightening their back and being more aware..)
- Fixed the damage formula of forms
- Refactored some of the code for forms execution
- Mo'kai'la can now still form with 35% abs average, compared to the 22% before.

2021-03-16

- Scalp, behead, and skin will now update corpse's descriptions appropriately.
- Bash will now display a message when someone starts to bash.
- The 'tell' command will no longer return a double message if someone is
masked.
- The leeched drunkeness effect on bonded warders/channelers is disabled until
further notice.
- When you quit the mud while searching, the search event will be cancelled
properly now.
- The weave 'rend' <victim> bruises should be effective again.

2021-03-10

- Pit trap and barricade have been changed to traps.

2021-03-05

- A lot of behind-the-scene changes to make the mud more stable.
- The "draw" command without an argument will now skip weapons you cannot use
because of race.
- The sayto command can no longer be used if you suffer from deafness, to be
consistent with the say command.
- Sleep will remove the sneak affection from you.
- Phatasmagoria is back in the game, sorry for removing it accidentally.
- Mobs that are not fighting/standing will now scramble to their feet
appropriately.

2021-03-02

- The weave 'ice item' now allows you to create a sword from flows of water.

2021-03-01

- Obscure combat bug fixed: attackers that should stop fighting during their
attack will finish the attack and stop fighting that victim without causing
a crash anymore.


2018-08-12

- Led mobs will once again go through NOMOB doors. Vertigo affected mobs will
too. We'll fix that later.
- Crash bug: fixed the special case of quitting in the same moment your fight
event fires.

2021-05-18

- NPC corpses will now decompose after 30 minutes, and they will take their
contents with them.
- PC corpses will now save across reboots and crashes for up to 48 hours, and
their contents will spill onto the ground after 48 hours.
- PC Corpses will now have keywords corpse, gender (neutral, female, male),
race, and the name of the character.

2021-05-17

- Certain triggers will not crash the mud anymore. Thanks Devan.
- Wimpy mobs will not always flee, but will wait till 25% of their health
again. Thanks Mahalanobis.
- Tips of the tick no longer have an extra newline in them. Thanks Rinue.

2021-05-15

- NPC corpses will now decay after 12 minutes.
- PC corpses will now decay after 48 hours. (They will not save over reboots
yet, but that is coming shortly).

2021-05-14

- The trophy command will no longer be cut off if your trophy list is huge.
Also, it will use the width of your screen for multiple columns.
- Compare will now handle items with equivalent stats.

2021-05-10

- Combat has had adjustments to how the math is done, but not changes to
what the math should be.
- Creative philosophy in bladeforms now will only allow you to recover from
the wrong position as long as you're resting or sitting, not dying.
- Residues will now start decaying as soon as weaves leave them behind.

2021-05-07

- Dust and create fog now alter abilities more consistently. Both will
obscure exits, tracks, residue of weaves, and objects in line with each
other.

2021-05-03 More crash bugs fixed:

- Channelers that die after losing the source
- MUD clients that send improperly formatted telnet options
- Entry memory triggers

2021-04-07

- Linkless players that had touched the One Power through an angreal will no
longer cause the mud to crash when they are force-rented.

- Lots of changes to how certain commands process arguments. Let us know if
you encounter any issues with:
fame, form, release, reveal, tie, unravel, untie, waypoint, weave,
handtalk, weave 'ward entry' or weave 'ward object'.

2021-05-21

- Account status will now show you which races are playing currently.
- CRASH BUG fixed: account fix will now remove duplicates and update names.
- Subdue - behavior changed so that if you spam it you will be slowed down
much more than if you selectively use it. Victims will also be slowed down
less time.
- Talentupdate - Will now let you know if you received your chance at new
talents or not.
- Tie - will now tie the only weave you're holding if you use it without args.
- Level newbie (20) and below PCs will keep their inventory/eq upon death.
- Fame - added trollocs and fades to the lists.

- Use, recite, and quaff will now check that you're not muted or gagged as
appropriate before allowing the action to continue.
- Wear and wield will now check if your hands are held in a trap before
allowing you to wield a weapon.
- Removed accidental capitalizations of items and NPCs short-descriptions.

2021-06-11

- Typo fixes in change position and the bladeform "kingfisher."
- (Most) Skills no longer have a delay on improving.
- Bands of air will now check that the victim is actually trapped in bands of
air.
- Kicking a target in the head will no longer cancel forms from blademasters
attacking the target.

2021-06-16

- Archery (see help archery for all details, only bows and crossbows
will be present to begin with)
- Be patient, report any bows, crossbows, or arrows that do not allow
the use of the ready or shoot commands.
- NPCs will not use bows and arrows to fight at the moment, that will
change. You've been warned!
- JAK the newbie trainer will teach you the basics of archery.
- Brew, Forge, Study, and Search are all now part of the delayed commands
framework instead of a generic fight event. See help delayed commands for
more info.
- Delved targets will shiver now, instead of the channeler.

2021-06-18

- You can move faster without incurring extra movement loss. Previous limits
were 1s for running and 2s for slow-walking. New limits are 0.3s for
running and 1s for slow-walking.
- Shopkeepers will now partially replenish their coin randomly. Not to exceed
their starting coin.
- Followers will no longer transfer their inventory to you upon saving.
- The get command will now work with mounts and pets. Use get item [from]
mount.
- The lead command will now dismount you if you type lead without a name
and you are mounted.
- Charmed characters (pets mostly, damane) will not break charm unless their
owner hits them.
