Weaves

Was thinking on stuff from books and wondered if there was something similar for two things.
1) I think there was a weave used that led trollocs on a different trail, would it be possible to have something that confused tracks?
2) making gardens grow and bloom. no real "use" but could be useful for RP, or maybe there could be use, not sure if there is any camouflage etc.
