Aes Sedai Beatdown

After raiding for a bit, and being scouted by a little newbie that should know better, an Aes Sedai decided to try and make short work of us. Glad to see it didn't go exactly to plan.

Town Square of Herdan's Bridge
The road widens considerably at this point, forming the heart of Herdan's
Bridge. Many years of service has seen to the sod's deterioration, which is
battered hard and criss-crossed with tracks and hoofprints. The buildings
bordering the square are dirty brown, often with their bricked walls caked with
mud and dust. Off the road, between buildings, tracks come in from the east
and west. They are far narrower than the road traveling north and south, but
enough for the traffic that trickles through them.

Main Road North of the Square
The road tapers out the further south it travels, leading to the main square of
Herdan's Bridge. The square has many off tracks leading from it, the pathways
often narrow enough to be called alleyways. The buildings around the square,
similar to those along the roadside here, are squat, but well-built buildings,
many with steep roofs of tile or slate. To the east, a low stableyard with a
latch-lock door can be seen, set between a thatcher's house and the inn it is
attached to. West, stands the carpenter's store.

Timberlands Overlooking a Small Gully
A small gully lies to the south, its green slopes declining gently into deeper
and darker regions of the woodlands. The gully is filled with a mixed
assortment of trees, shrubs and ferns, speckled with a handful of fruit-bearing
plants and blossoming flowers. At the far end of the gully, to the south-west,
a sapphire-emerald pool of water sparkles in the light, sustaining the
surrounding flora and wildlife. Indeed, as honey draws bees, animals of all
sorts can be spotted, browsing in the lush greenness and drinking the pool's
water. As if their presence was not enough, the air ripples with the call of
animals. To the east and south, timberlands can be seen, great trees spearing
the skies with stripped branches as often as lush leaves.

On a Sloping Path in a Gully
Well used by animals, judging by the tracks pressed along the strip of soft
earth, the trail here leads down the eastern slope of a gentle gully, towards
another faint trail sandwiched between green bevels. The diversity of life is
great, towering trees mingling with low shrubs and clusters of mushrooms and
ferns. Animals thrive here, as the flora seems to house hundreds of them,
rustling leaves and calling out across long distances. Seeping through the
hurly-burly of lively commotion, there is a sense of untouched serenity, as if

the seemingly endless ocean of greenery enhances the sense of natural beauty.

Impossibly tall trees claw at the skies with green nettles and thin,
finger-like branches. They lie off the road, offering ample shelter against
the elements for travelers and the animals that past through. Shrubs and ferns
are few around this region, instead the forest floor is covered with a brownish
carpet of leaf litter. A few wildflowers poke their blossoms through the
decaying mass, just enough to hint at the air with their sweet perfumes. Also
carried by the lazy air currents roaming this area, the sounds of animals
sporting in the leafy canopies overhead unabatedly tickle the ears. The road,
sprawled out here, presses north and south; disappearing into the horizon
relatively straight.

Tar Valon Road through Hardwoods
Pines and towering greenwoods spear the skies with their lush nettles and
leaves, while lower leatherleafs and yews spread and knit their branches,
casting twilight shade. The Tar Valon Road, stretching out before you, leads
north and south, bordered on both sides by the lofty denizens of the land.
The sod of the broad highway is barren and packed down through years of
service, conflicting with the greenness of the surroundings. Creepers and
weeds have begun to tear at the roads borders, though never managing to grow
past a few inches from the edge; the endless train of wagons, horses and people
are more than enough to trample the invading fingers of the forest. Further
south, off the road, the flora grow thick and lush, forming dense woodlands.

The Tar Valon Road via Thick Woods
Shrubs, ferns, trees and flowers paint the surrounding landscape in the lush
colors of the Nature, while birds and animals add to the milieu by rippling the
air with calls and songs. The air is crisp and scented, and with every passing
breeze, rustling leaves exhale great bellowing sighs. The woodlands on either
side of the road are thick, but navigable through the trunks of towering trees.
The road here is the Tar Valon Road, and it leads north and south, connecting
Tar Valon and Caemlyn. Years of heavy use has seen to its deteriorated state;
sod packed down rock hard and ruts in more places than not. To the north, off
the road, the woods thin out, paving way for sparsely populated timberlands.
South, murky shadows cast by the dense forest shrouds much of the detail from
the surroundings.

Thin Woods By the Roadside
The Tar Valon Road is clearly visible to the south, a broad highway cutting a
path east and west. The forest bordering it is thin, though enough to offer
light shelter from unpleasant weather conditions. Grass covers much of the
forest floor where fallen leaves and bark have not dampened growth, with a few
wildflowers interspersed to highlight Nature's beauty. In more places than
not, ferns and low shrubs dress the land, many clustered around the trunks of
trees. They offer a median between the high canopies of the trees and the
carpet of grass, where many animals can often be found hidden in their leafy
masses. To the north, the trees and shrubbery grow closer to one another,
forming denser woodlands.

On the Tar Valon Road
The woods on either side of the road are thick and lush, blotting out much of
the skies. Around this region, pines and paperbarks dominate the area,
interspersed with a handful of blackgums, elms and leatherleafs. The scents
and noise of the forest accompany the beautiful scenery. Birds and squirrels
can be seen in their bushy homes, darting about in a comical frenzy to survive.
Larger and clearly more dangerous animals can be heard also, their calls
rippling through the air. North and south, through shadowed woodlands, the Tar
Valon Road ambles on. In either direction, the wide highway curves gently,
forming a sinous ribbon over the land.

A Gentle Bend in the Highway
The broad highway cambers, gently curving east and west around thick brush and
dense timberlands. The road is several paces wide- more than enough for two
wagons to pass each other abreast- and is the only major pathway between
Caemlyn and Tar Valon. Evidence of years of use and neglect is as clear on the
road as a brightly painted sign. Ruts and ditches riddle almost every inch of
it, while wagons and hoofprints have pressed the sod hard. Off the road, the
forest accosts one's vision. Elms, paperbarks, leatherleafs and ahes stand
proud, channeling the traffic along as effectively as the walls of a gorge.

The Tar Valon Road Between Two Bends
The road at this point runs through dense brush, heavily shadowed by the
arching canopies knitted by the nearby trees. The road appears to be the only
sign of man in the surroundings, slicing a path east and west, connecting the
cities Tar Valon and Caemlyn. From the depths of the closely populated woods,
songbirds and chattering animals create a harmonious symphony. Shrill cries
ripple through a magnificent and unabated chorus, while the rustling of leaves
and branch whisper into the ears. A wide opening in the thick shrubbery allow
passage north, while to the south stands an impenetrable forest wall.

I had enough left for 1 more windstorm, maybe 2.

Which begs the question why I didn't just start weaving attacks rather than blind. Windstorm is a tough attack weave apart from scattering you. I was saving for Windstorms cuz there were 3 of you but I should have used Riven Earth or Earthquak once the guards were dead.

I need to learn to keep it simple. Same deal w/ Ruul in the Tower. Had I just attacked, I think I might have gotten a death out of it but I tried to Sleep and it drained my saidar.

Ah well, live and learn.

Well, i can say you did a good job. In pk situations, I'm a runner. So, I would say you got away from 3, so that's the first win. Secondly, if you check the log, i didn't even notice you were in the room. If you read the log, as i go blind, i light my torch, all confused, so good job with that. IMO I would have blinded Darak, cause he's 51, then attacked me and Szean while we were still on the mobs. You would have had enough weaves to tear us apart. I don't know any of your weaves, but I would have done single target ones to throw out more damage, and less chance of hitting city mobs. Either way, well done, and glad we all lived to talk about it. :)
