2008 August 09

- Trollocs cannot learn anything from others now. Only from trainers.
- Ko'bal trollocs now have a new novice trainer with skills.
- Trolloc master trainers have arrived for Ghar'ghael and Ko'bal. Skills
taught are dependent upon rank in their clans.

2008 August 07

- Idling out and then logging back in with a mount should no longer allow
you to duplicate equipment. Please let us know if it does.
- Bond Token will provide grammatically correct messages now.
- Prayers will now be sent to imms even if they are editing things.

2008 July 30

- More progress eradicating lag:
o Rooms are now updated only if they need it (blood, residues, fog, etc).
o Affects are now updated/checked only on characters with affects.
- Affections will now properly decay. That is, if you're affected by the
form "Sheathing the sword" or by the weave "refresh", you can count on
their adverse affects occurring.
- The scripting system should no longer forget who you are. This means the
gates, the mistress of the wheel, etc, should now properly respond to you
at all times. If not, please let an immortal know, and re-login.
- Examining objects will no longer result in random gibberish (or garbage).

2008 July 27

You may have noticed that the mud is a lot more responsive now. We made an
important change to the scripting system so that it better scales to our
massive world.

We do realize that there are still "lag-spikes" occurring at regular intervals
and will tackle those next. Thank you for your patience through the era of
inhumane lag and we hope you enjoy the improvements we have made.

2008 July 21

- Potions are no longer unlimited.

2008 May 27

- The respining should return you to the correct place.

- Travel should no longer crash the mud

- the weave will return you to the starting zone. If you turn norespin
on you will need to find the Mistress and use the enter command to
return to the zone you died in.

2008 May 16

- Armor check has been adjusted to stop falling.

- Travel has been added, the trainer will spawn after finding the smob
guarding her/him.

- Cross where who will no longer work

2008 May 11

- Channelers who used "quickly" should be aware it has been adjusted

2008 April 18

- Burning yourself out will no longer crash the mud, thus removing the burnout

2008 April 16
- Races should now experience different movement loss in different sectors.

- Item wear down has been disabled for now as the shops do not always mend
everything that they should.

- Equipment is now based strictly on race not your size.

- Practice rooms in the White Tower have increase mana regen.
WARNING This boost is only in the practice rooms, do not expect your
Mana regen to be the same when you leave the tower or channel in other
parts of the tower.

2009 May 17 - Maxim

- Mortals cannot send tells to mortals of another race if they are at war with
that race.
- Fixed a bug where objects with no defined size will now be flagged properly
for the player trying to wear the object.
- When wielding a weapon you will now be told if you do not have the required
skill to effectively wield that weapon.
- All houses are now forcibly saved prior to the mud rebooting.
- Forms that cause the victim to become disarmed now also induce a 1 second
probably doesn't affect NPCs.
- The 'map' command will now indicate the presence of PC corpses by the
symbol '?'
- Milking cows will now continue to fill containers past 8 units if they
contain milk.
- Drink containers should now weigh 1 pound when empty, and 1 additional pound
for every 8 units of liquid contained inside. This should now be consistent
across all commands (drink/sip/fill/pour).

May 14, 2009 - Maxim

* Tracking NPCs will no longer hit as soon as they enter the room with you.
You may have a second or two to avoid them. Additionally if you are hidden
the NPC has a chance to reveal you and will then attack you if successful at
revealing you.
* Corrected messages regarding mounts throwing their riders. It now correctly
chooses the sex of the mount when saying "he" or "she" doesn't want you
riding "him" or "her" anymore.
* Corrected some combat messages to use proper case - at the beginning of the
line at least.
* Corrected the message shown to observers when a channeler dies from over-
channeling.
* You can no longer give things to people in combat.
be turned off for you unless it's a permanent light.
* NPCs will no longer flee through NOMOB doors.
* If you change your description and do not enter the game, your description
will still be saved.

May 13, 2009 - Maxim

* Added the milk command. This command will allow you to milk certain NPCs
and fill your liquid containers with fresh milk. Please be patient while
the builders flag the appropriate NPCs as milkable. And stay away from
the wet nurses!

May 10, 2009 - Maxim

* Linking has been improved. Channelers can now link without fear of going
negative. Additionally, MCs and FCs linked together will no longer find
the FCs running out of mana first.

May 8, 2009 - Shawnyve/Itrana

* We once again have new forums. Sorry guys. These forums are ours, hosted
on our new website away from the mud's server to enable better processing
for the mud. Itrana has set them up as she did the old boards so please
send appreciation her way, although I do claim the theme work.
The new addy is http://www.mirrorsmud.COM/forums.

Once registered, PM the admin group about access to clan sections.

The website itself is under development as are blogs & a wiki so
please dont use them YET.

May 4, 2009 - Ganelon

* After some scale considerations, the Four Kings road has been shrunk
slightly. You may want to adjust your maps. The road and hamlet removed
now reside on the other side of Four Kings. Exits to Braem Wood were
affected and changed as were two houses which made the move.

April 25, 2009 - Maxim

* Movement loss due to spamming has been adjusted.
- In rooms that your character's race only loses 1 point you will be able to
spam without penalty.
- If you enter moves that are processed in back to back pulses on the mud
(1/10th of a second) you'll lose 150% the movement points required.
- If you enter moves faster than once per second you will lose one
additional movement point. This is down from one move per 2 seconds.
* Aiel now can move through mountains and hills more easily, and less easily
through forests.
* Trollocs can now move through mountains more easily.

April 21, 2009 - Shawnyve
Fixes

* WB now really do behave properly. remember to seek out an immortal to
have a nickname set should you find you are one.
* PT chinups no longer allow you to go neg moves
* Military clan kit/eq issues cp cost has been drastically reduced
and all of them should work except insignia issue for CoL & HoL.

2009 Aug 13 - Maxim

- Yell has had its range increased from 5 rooms to 12 (closed doors reduce
this distance but do not stop it).

2009 Aug 11 - Maxim

- Your clan info should no longer be doubled. The clans system now checks if
you're already in the clan before adding it again (and sets your
rank/pts/etc to whatever the highest value is you have recorded).

2009 Aug 9 - Maxim

- Nosneak rooms will no longer prevent you from turning sneak on or off. They
will always show messages about you moving in or out of them.
- The View command (for quest masters) will work again. Also it should now
take into account the size of your display.
- The map command has been altered. If the room it tries to map is abnormally
dark (such as rooms in the ways) it will not be able to map that room or
those beyond it.
- The mount command has been altered. You may only mount PCs if they have
been subdued by you or submitted to you. Also the mount command by itself
will only work if your last mount is in the same room as you.
- The who command will show people in the quest editor as editing quests.

2009 Aug 8 - Maxim

- We have found and fixed a problem with the accounts system. If you
know of anyone that tried and failed to make an account/new char in the
last few weeks, please pass the word on. Thank you for your patience.

2009 July 30 - Maxim

- The weave "Ram of Air" will no longer crash the mud should you succeed.

2009 July 26 - Maxim

- The channeling energy prompt will no longer inform you that you are a
channeler... until you've learned the embrace or seize skill.
- The weave 'create water' will no longer fubar drink container weights.
- The consider command will now target the current target you are fighting if
you did not specify a target.

2009 July 25 - Maxim

- Negative weights should no longer happen from drink containers.
- Drink containers (and fountains) should now be set to the appropriate weights
every time you drink from them or fill them.

2009 July 21 - Shawnyve

- Zone resets have been reworked. Most you will find are much lower.

2009 July 13 - Maxim

- New command for you armor wearers: armor. See its help file for details.
- Questmasters will now be listed in rooms with a "!" at the beginning of
their line.
- Channeler regen has been increased.

2009 Jun 30 - Maxim

- You will no longer be able to gain skills while dead.

2009 Jun 06 - Maxim

- Combat can now be colored differently through the change color command.

Seventh of Twelfth, Year 2010 - Niila

- Bash no longer relies on kick for accuracy.
- Bash sets you to resting position. As people think it does. This
lasts until the next attack in round order. Or standing up. Whichever
happens first, bashed victim will be in standing position (no change).
- Bash takes slightly longer to perform now..
*Note: Being bashed lowers your defensive ability. So be wary if you
get bashed.. or miss a bash..
- If a target is already sitting or resting positioned, bash does not
execute. .
- Wearing a lot of items and carrying a lot of weight no longer should
make you the king of bashes.

2010 December 2 - Niila

- A fix to combat damage messages. What does it mean?
-> Your damage messages now display the damage more appropriately.
This means, your damage hasn't lowered, just the messages are
showing the damage as it should be more accurately.
This means.. oblirate now means a lot of damage, massacre slightly
less, and so on. :)
- Multi-opponent buff change. Now mobs might hit you. On a occasion.
- You should be able to hit mobs now more easily.

2010 November 21 - Niila

- Fixed a bug in combat that possible existed, making dodgers be hit
more often in combat than they should be.
- Mobs no longer double-attack in combat if they have been marked
to remember the agressor.
- Mobs shouldn't pull 'new weapons' in combat anymore if they're
already wielding one.
- Mobs shouldn't randomly sheathe weapons while in combat.
- You attack once a round even on full defensive now. Notice that the
amount of damage dealt while defensive is not very high.
- Mobs 'should' now face off groups when they attack, instead of just
the last person who entered in group fights.
- Fixed mobs assisting against their master.

Mail Niila in case of any anomalities with these changes.

2010 November 15 - Niila

- Disliked factions now update properly accordance to new system.
- Backstab takes longer to perform.
- If you're extremely aware person, and someone tries to backstab you, you
might notice it before the actual incident occurs.
- Kill commands no longer lag you so much if target isn't in room.
Applies to kick, backstab and stab, hit and kill commands.
- Missing a backstab will make you lag (more than it was).
- Landing a backstab will make you lag (less than it was).
- Fleeing from combat will make you experience a momentary lag. Autowimpy too.
- Hide takes a bit longer to do. To compensate, you can now use some commands
while hiding. The list of which commands work in hide can be found on forum.

2010 November 14 - Niila

- Combat fix so that no one will be unhittable 100% of the time.
- Mobs will no longer shout 'Hey!! You're the.." if they're already in combat.
- No longer will mobs double attack in combat. Or attack off round.
- Bladeforms don't give as much advantage in defensive way.
- No longer will mobs double attack in combat. Or attack off round.
- Bladeforms don't give as much advantage in defensive way.
- All bladeform paths give more bonuses than they did before.
Except Mo'kai'la.
- Your defense doesn't decrease as dramatically as before if you have
more than one opponent on you.
- Channeling on quickly will now backfire, even with lower end weaves.
- Weaves failing or backfiring no longer cost absurdly high amount of SP.
- Armour doesn't make you fall as often. In fact, by having mastery armor,
expect to never fall if walking. Running (spamming) may still make you fall
on a occasion, but not as often as it was before.
- Backstab deals slightly more damage and should land slightly more often.
- 'Shadow-touched' wetlanders can now actually not be attacked by shadowspawn.
(While this change is in, mobs will still attack you until they're converted
to this new system too.)
- It's more easier to get 'on the wrong side of the law'.
- Awareness can be learned without having meditation.

2010 March 7 - Shawnyve

- After some discussion on and off the last few months we have removed Sleep
from the Channeler training. If you currently have it, most lost it because
of dependancy changes, please let a friendly Immortal know so we can remove.

2010 Feb 14 - Maxim

- Lights have more meanings now. Be aware that your character's race makes a
great difference regarding what you can see and how much detail you will
see. And no, Trollocs don't see in pitch black, they're not fades.
- Corpses have a better chance of staying over reboots now.
- NPCs will only loot between 1 and 5 items (randomly chosen) from fallen
PCs. Of course this applies only if you leave a corpse behind with eq,
so newbies (under level 10) are still safe.
- The "air item" weave now can create clubs.
- Idlers should log back on in the room they idled from. No longer should
idlers return to the center of the wheel.
- A lot of other background changes have been made to make the mud more stable.

2010 Jan 16 - Ganelon

- Defenders of the Stone clan is now ingame. Currently housed in the Tairen
Embassy in south Caemlyn.

2010 Jan 6 - Audrya

- Rumors and signet rings are now working correctly
- Boats should now work correctly. PC steered boat also work, however you need
the sailing skill which is not trainable anywhere. We haven't yet decide how
to add this to the game. IF you have a VALID RP reason to sail please contact
clan 103 and we will set it manually for the time being.

2009 Dec 8 - Shawnyve

- I've done a massive overhaul of trainers and what you can practice where. There
are new general trainers in every major city/area now. Some are homeland only,
some totally open. See the forums for more info.

2009 May 19 - Maxim

- idea/bug/typo filesize increased. Please continue to submit your ideas.
- The 'clean' weave will now also cleanse traces of blood from the room.
- The 'trace' weave will no longer pulse faster than once every 5 seconds.
Prior to this it could pulse as fast as once a second, depending on your
skill in the weave. Starts out at 20 seconds between pulses when you first
learn the weave.
- Fixed a typo where some character names were not capitalized when they used
say.
